4Minute – Kpop girl group who is who?

4Minute is a five member female Korean singing group from Cube Entertainment. They debuted in June 2009 with their single “Hot Issue”. They have come out with several more singles and are gaining popularity. They also are entering the Japanese and international markets with Universal Music Group. Their first single in Japan is a translated version of their second Korean single “Muzik”.

Hyuna (Kim Hyun Ah)

Date of birth: June 6, 1992
Hyuna is the most popular member of the group. She was originally part of JYP’s Wonder Girls, but dropped out due to her health. She’s on a popular variety show called Invincible Youth, with a cast of 6 other girl group idols who have been nicknamed “G7”, where they experience farming out in the countryside in a small town. She also has a solo single called “Change”. She’s known for her hot dancing, rapping, and infamous chest poppin.

Jiyoon (Jeon Ji Yoon)

Date of birth: October 15, 1990
Jiyoon looks like the leader of the group since she’s doing a lot of the singing and dancing in the middle of the group. In their first two singles she always wore shades covering her beautiful face.

Sohyun (Kwon So Hyun)
Vocal, Rapper?
Date of birth: August 30, 1994
She is gaining more notable parts in their songs.

Gayoon (Heo Ga Yoon)
Lead Vocal
Date of birth: May 8, 1990
Gayoon has the best vocals out of the group. She’s not the hottest or cutest member, but she helps round out the group’s sound with her singing.
