DSP has come out with a new Rainbow sub-unit trio called Rainbow Pixie. Jisook, Hyunyoung, and Seunga are the three best singers from Rainbow. The name was chosen to describe a cute, magical, and fun fairy concept. Contrary to popular belief, performing and singing cute and sexy songs is not easy. Anyhow I think their first digital single Hoi Hoi is pretty decent, although I don’t really understand some of the English lyrics like ultra pectorus muse (moose?) and beams. Below is music video and also the NG (No Good) cuts or blooper music video which is actually more entertaining than the original. You can read more about Rainbow in my Rainbow group profile post.

Rainbow (Kpop) Mach Wallpapers
Here are some Rainbow wallpapers I put together from the Japanese Mach single covers.
Rainbow perform live on Japanese Sukkiri TV!

Rainbow performed A live on Japanese television on Sukkiri!! (110913). The hosts Eiji Wentz, Kato, and Terry were excited and loved the sexy performance. After Rainbow gave their “Oheso Dance” lesson, Kato performed it and made Rainbow and everyone freak out and laugh.

Rainbow – “A” teaser (Japanese ver.)

Rainbow “A” Japanese version music video teaser. Hot debut on 11.09.14 with their first Japanese single. The above picture is the B jacket version. The A jacket is with them in black and C jacket is with another white outfit and rainbow colored background. The music video so far looks great and so far looks similar to the original except they got a better wardrobe. Their Japanese singing revealed in the teaser was pretty decent and they added some English. I don’t know about the rap parts so we’ll find out about that later. I’m glad they didn’t go back to all wearing pony tails with straight bangs, same exact makeup style, and identicle outfits since that just confused the hell out of everyone distinguishing them apart. If you watch the video carefully they do have pony tails in their black outfits but with normal front hairstyles and colored pony tail ribbons. Some of them also have colored contacts.
I hope they do ok in Japan. Secret seems to be doing pretty well and trying really hard. They aren’t shy about doing interviews and trying to entertain. So far all indications seem to be that they’re succeeding and getting airtime on Coming Soon, Countdown TV, and other programs. On the other hand 4Minute just released their Heart To Heart Japanese version and their Japanese continues to be absolutely awful showing hardly any improvement. After School seems like an after thought in Japan. Why even bother debuting in Japan if you don’t learn the language and go all out promoting?

Rainbow – Sweet Dream (MV)

Rainbow Sweet Dream music video. This is another song from Daishi Dance who also produced their previous song To Me. This video is pretty mysterious and kind of cool. Woori walks out in a white dress and 7 afterimages of her appear and then flash into the 7 Rainbow girls in white and black dresses. I can’t really complain since previously they wouldn’t even come out with another music video for a song like this. I hope their live performances will be good since there isn’t really much dancing in this video. Sounds like a song Kara would maybe do if they weren’t doing happy and cute songs.
Follow the girls by visiting their Facebook. It is updated with great backstage pictures of all the Rainbow members. There are also some pictures with them adventuring in Japan and on vacation with Kara doing bungee jumping and outdoor activities at some water spot. They recently started posting a lot on their Twitter accounts again. Some of them also update their Me2day accounts (Korean version of Twitter) and their Cyworld accounts. You can find them in my Rainbow who is who post.
